Captain Cook steps ashore

13 May 2021

A new player in the furniture industry will be promoting its ranges for the first time ever at the upcoming edition of Furnitex in Melbourne. Captain Cook Furniture hopes to carve a niche in the mid to high end retail market, according to wholesale manager Miiky Lu.

“The range is characterised by solid timber product, using the best quality timber throughout every piece, including high quality ash and oak. It includes a wide variety of options covering bedroom, dining and office furniture.”

The company was currently finalising its seasonal catalogue with a view to releasing it prior to Furnitex, she added.

“At Furnitex we hope to promote the variety and quality of the product. What sets it apart is that it’s made of solid timber. Our products have virtually no defects and no veneers are used, even on the back of each piece. The Captain Cook styling is quite simple, with a lot of the detailing created by hand.”

Furnitex furniture fair will take place along side home décor and accessories fair Decoration and Design from 15-18 July at Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
