Dare Global Furniture: Zen cool goes hot

2 May 2021

Sleek, linear shapes. Lots of tempered glass and high gloss veneers. A palette of mainly white, grey, black and walnut.

Minimalist chic has proved a winner for Dare Global, but the austere mood is about to get a lift.

“We’ve done a lot of cool two-tone effects, especially grey and white, but have decided to add bright red – a cheerful colour for the new season,” says the South Australian company’s director and design chief, Ruby Chan.

“We will be exhibiting some office furniture at Furnitex for the first time, plus occasional pieces for the home – mainly hall, coffee and side tables – and a selection from our new decorator accessories range.”

Otherwise, Dare Global will concentrate on the edgy contemporary bedroom, dining, living room and home entertainment ranges that have won the company a wide clientele across Australia and New Zealand.

Founded in China in 1978, Dare Global launched its Australian subsidiary in 2004 and has its own manufacturing plant in Guangzhou – “a great advantage, as it enables us to offer a custom-made service and allows customers to order directly from us instead of going through middlemen,” notes Ruby.

The company’s latest furniture ranges include the elegant Milan and Bianca – the latter offering compact pieces ideal for apartments.
