Ingrained in home grown history

Trevor and Anne Winter have been proudly carrying the Australian flag since 1981. The spirit of our nation is alive and well within the hearts and business minds of the Flamingo Furniture owners with their 100% Australian owned furniture brand.
From the materials to the manufacture, the dynamic duo ensures their timber furniture under the family-owned company bears the `Made in Australia’ tag, with all materials and timber sourced locally from sustainable Australian forests.
“We are one of a handful to branch out and use timbers in our collections sourced from certified Australian sustainable forests,” says Anne.
“It’s an environmentally friendly foresting alternative, where plant resources are continually replenished and managed to ensure timber production for future generations to come.”

Despite humble beginnings, the business has now spread its wings and employs over 50 people from three generations of family working within the business, from furniture design and marketing to cabinetry and production.

Despite the spike in imports to Australia in recent years, as an onshore manufacturer Flamingo Furniture remain strong competitors in their ability to offer furniture buyers, across all sectors a number of unique benefits. The ability to be customised, their comprehensive and quick customer service, extended product range, innovative design, minimal stock holding costs, quality, reduced capital outlay, savings on logistics and warehousing, short lead times, and stability of pricing while supporting local industry and jobs.

But their specialty is their in-house design team. Flamingo Furniture can customise pieces to suit your individual needs. Depending on the look you’re after, they can match your interior décor theme with a variety of sizes, colour combinations and timber styles to choose.

With sustainable Australian materials, quality craftsmanship and traditional furniture-making techniques all made right here, Flamingo Furniture promotes a sustainable and ethical Australian future.

“You could say it’s ingrained in us,” says Anne.
