Mayfield Lamps: Spreading the Light

12 July 2021

As the long-established Melbourne company points out, it was logical to complement Mayfield’s core products with “everything that goes on, under and around our trend-leading lamps.”

Founded in 1945 by the late, dynamic Adi Felder – his sons and grandson went on to join the business – Mayfield rose from humble beginnings at Melbourne’s Glenferrie Markets to become a key brand across Australia and New Zealand, and remains an innovative leader in table lamps, floor lamps and lamp shades.

Last year saw the introduction of occasional furniture and decorative accessories, and the 2012 ranges, to be showcased at Furnitex and Decoration + Design, provide a stunning array of lamps from classic to contemporary, plus pieces ranging from screens, storage trunks and bedside tables, to vases, mirrors and sculptures.

Several perennial favourites will also be on display. “Our crystal and hand-painted porcelain lamp bases are always in great demand,” notes marketing assistant Katie LeMin.
