Scope Furniture Australia: Brand new image

10 May 2021

For the past decade, Melbourne furniture design and manufacturing company, Scope, has quietly established itself as a class act in demand by leading Australian architects and interior designers.

The downside has been scant time to develop its own ranges and identity. That’s all changed. From July, the Tullamarine-based firm will be officially known as Scope Furniture Australia and among other initiatives, is developing environmentally sustainable products for domestic and commercial environments.

A selection from its first in house collection will be showcased at Furnitex.

“We’ve done so much for everybody else and this year we decided the time was right to rebrand the company and create our own ranges,” says Scope’s designer Gavin Jarvis, who gained his degree in furniture design at England’s High Wycombe University and trained under British great, John Makepeace.

“This will be our first showing at a fair and we believe we have something fresh to offer. There’s a bland predictability about a lot of furniture on the Australian market.”

Scope’s combination of pure lines, expert craftsmanship and quality, eco-friendly materials should prove highly attractive. So should the versatility of its timeless, yet sharply contemporary pieces.
