Testament to Success

11 August 2021

The figures prove that Furnitex was a huge success, but success is based on more than just facts. So we threw the microphone to Christian Cole Furniture and Scope Furniture Australia from the recent Furnitex trade show to provide us with their personal account from the feedback they received, to post-show sale inquiries and overall success at the event.

Here’s what they had to say:

Scope Furniture Australia has been a business that often generates clients from the recommendations of existing clients. This has often lead to us dealing with many people and businesses from the same sectors of the furniture industry. Breaking out into other sectors is always a challenge and can often blind side you to deal with those who you know will be interested without searching others. Furnitex 2011 has created the opportunity to introduce our products into other sectors of the industry that we would not have previously dealt with. By meeting and discussing with the many trades people visiting Furnitex 2011 our client base will now grow into sectors we never realised. Over the course of 4 days showcasing our designs, we were amazed at the number and quality of contacts we received. Initial contact with those who requested us to contact them after Furnitex 2011 has already lead to new clients and some great projects in the pipe line. As Furnitex 2011 was our first showing at a trade show of its size the process of exhibiting was rather detailed. We wanted to make sure that the products we displayed were a good representation of our designs and the high level of craftsmanship we are recognised for. After selecting the products the stand layout and literature material was then created along with constant interaction with our FIAA rep. We found that moving our products into the show and then out again at the end was well organised and an extremely easy process. Overall, Furnitex 2011 has been a great Trade show to showcase our products. The awards and many positive comments towards our products from those within different sectors of the industry have given us enormous motivation to keep designing and manufacturing in our chosen direction. We will be showcasing in 2012, and look forward to creating new products that will highlight our ability and demonstrate that Australian designed and made furniture can be as good if not better than the rest of the world. – Scope Furniture Australia

As a first time exhibitor in Furnitex 2011 being showcased in the Australian New Product Parade has had a phenomenal effect on Christian Cole Furniture. It certainly raised our profile giving our business more credence. Prior to Furnitex, obtaining exposure to the architectural, retail and interior design arena was difficult and very costly however being able to showcase our product to a specific audience over a four day period has already greatly benefited our business with a number of new wholesale relationships been established.

It has enormously boosted our credibility in the industry and by receiving an Honorable Mention for Manufacturer of the Year 2011 by the Furnishing Australia (Vic/Tas), has greatly inspired us to grow our business continue our hard work. The actual process of exhibiting at Furnitex 2011 was extremely easy thanks to the wonderful assistance of Mark McDermott Account Manager, Australian Exhibitions & Conferences Pty Ltd and most importantly Ashley Orchard Membership Officer, Furniture Australia, who without his inspiration and encouragement our presence at Furnitex 2011 would not have come about. Christian Cole Furniture will be at Furnitex 2012! – Christian Cole Furniture
